PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN SHOT AND KILLED

President Abraham Lincoln of Kentucky was shot during the Ford’s Theatre presentation of Our American Cousin yesterday evening. The culprit was none other than a one Mr. John Wilkes Booth the actor.

After the initial Gunshot, Booth jumped from the president’s box onto the ground below. Booth escaped despite a broken leg suffered in the fall. Police are investigating as to the location of Booth and as of now there has been no information gathered. Lincoln’s Funeral Train, that will carry the coffin of both he and his son William, is being prepared to depart in three days time for Illinois. Major Henry Rathbone was also wounded in the assassination. There is no information on whether he will recover. A hero in the worst of times, America will forever mourn our president.
